To ensure you get the most value from your TESCO technology, we offer comprehensive training to introduce participants to TESCO’s Top Drive and CASING DRILLING™ technology. Top Drive training is offered in Calgary while CASING DRILLING™ training is provided in our Houston facility and in various locations around the world. We can also offer on-site training at your location. All courses are offered in English.

Top Drive Training.  Tesco offers comprehensive training courses designed to introduce participants to our Top Drive systems. Each course includes a functional description of Top Drive system components as well as an overview of troubleshooting methods and fault detection. The Level I course orients new TESCO Top Drive owners and operators to their specific system, focusing on familiarizing participants with the top drive and its principle components. This course is included with the purchase of a new TESCO Top Drive or can be purchased separately by existing top drive operators to increase their knowledge and productivity. The Level II course builds on the participant's existing knowledge of a top drive system. Level II students MUST HAVE at least six months of top drive operating experience. TESCO recommends that all Level II students complete the Level I training course.

CASING DRILING® Training. TESCO’s “Introduction to CASING DRILLING™” course will provide participants with a broad understanding of drilling with casing and a set of tools to use in the analysis of their own drilling prospect portfolio. The course covers the differences between conventional drilling practices and CASING DRILLING™, presents case histories, and discusses well pre-planning, programming and design with the CASING DRILLING™ process.
